API 5L X52 Pipe

API 5L X52 pipes are made through hot rolling or cold drawing procedures. Therefore these pipes are in seamless and welded conditions. There are different outer diameters available from 3/8 inches to 30 inches. There are different finishes such as the 3LPE coating and others. Also, the pipes can be rolled, thermodynamically rolled or normalizing rolled for delivery. There are two product specification levels; the API 5L X52 PSL2 and the API 5L X52 PSL1. Level 2 has better mechanical properties and a slightly different chemical composition but both pipes are used for oil, water and gas transportation pipelines. The API 5L Grade X52 is a high yield strength pipe specification intended for high temperature and high pressure applications. They have the minimum yield strength of 52000PSI and the minimum yield strength of 66000PSI. This is suitable under different pressure levels. There are different schedules to suit the different pressure levels in API 5L X52 Grade B. The schedules 20 to XXS and above with wall thicknesses up to 250 mm provide a wide range of selection. They are HIC Tested X52 to be used against hydrogen embrittlement. The ISO 3183 L360 Grade X52 pipes are quality tested and provide the ISO standards to the purchaser. These pipes could also be drawn, expanded, machined or sand blasted prior to purchase depending on the customers need.
